Job description

Astute's Power Team is currently recruiting a M&E Tendering Engineer to join a growing EPC / Engineering Consultancy within the Renewable energy industry.

The M&E Tendering Engineer offers a day rate from £400.00 to £500.00 per day.

Role responsibilities and key skills:
  1. Lead the preparation and delivery of full Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) tender packages for utility-scale renewable energy projects including BESS, solar PV, and substations.
  2. Review technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements to develop accurate and competitive tender submissions.
  3. Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and project delivery teams to gather input and validate scope and pricing.
  4. Liaise with suppliers, subcontractors, and consultants to obtain quotations, assess technical compliance, and negotiate terms.
  5. Ensure all tenders comply with industry standards, client requirements, and company quality and safety policies.
  6. Analyse tender risks, propose mitigation strategies, and contribute to commercial and contractual clarifications.
  7. Track tender progress and deadlines, ensuring timely submission of high-quality bids with full supporting documentation.
  8. Participate in post-tender evaluations, clarifications, and handover to project delivery teams upon contract award.
  9. Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related discipline.
  10. HND/HNC in M&E Engineering or Construction may also be accepted with strong industry experience.
Location, day rate, and timeframe:
  • UK Wide - Hybrid role
  • £400.00 to £500.00 per day (Outside IR35)
  • Immediate start date
  • 12 months
