As a Tendering Engineer, you will be responsible for managing customer inquiries related to Controls & Automation products. You will coordinate with internal departments to develop competitive proposals and ensure successful outcomes across assigned markets and regions.

As Tendering Engineer , you will be responsible for:

  • Lead the preparation, coordination, and submission of technical and commercial proposals.
  • Accurately assess customer inquiries, ensuring timely and appropriate responses.
  • Manage all aspects of tendering, including documentation handover to project teams.
  • Evaluate and consolidate costs (materials, engineering, third-party, production) and ensure internal approvals via the Tender Approval Form (TAF).
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Engineering, Procurement, etc.) in the UK and internationally to meet deadlines and deliver coherent proposals.
  • Facilitate technical clarifications with clients, ensuring alignment and closure of all open points before purchase order placement.
  • Support post-tender negotiations and contract variations, and provide handover support to Project Managers.
  • Maintain and develop customer relationships, working closely with Sales and Project Managers to assess satisfaction and identify opportunities.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the tendering process.
  • Provide support to colleagues during periods of high workload, absence, or leave.

To be successful in this role you shall have:

  • Graduates in Electronics or Electrical/Controls Engineering.
  • 1- 2 years experience in preparing proposals for electrical/control systems.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word) and CRM systems.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Knowledge of estimating principles, cost structures, and commercial awareness.
  • Familiarity with contractual terms and conditions.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Technical understanding of electrical systems, generator control, Automatic Voltage Regulators, excitation systems, and Power Management Systems (PMS).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (e.g., Single Line Diagrams) and specifications.
