Salary Range Information

£42,000.00 - £71,400.00 GBP Annual

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, support and develop a team of Tender & Bid Specialists and Administrators (3 associates in total), fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Oversee end-to-end tender and bid processes and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring legal and procedural compliance
  • Own and manage the BD Tender & Bid Database, including the development and upkeep of ‘model answers’
  • Champion ESG, Sustainability and Social Value within the tender process, aligning submissions with evolving market and regulatory expectations
  • Monitor performance metrics and generate regular reporting to support strategic decisions
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process enhancement, addressing performance gaps where identified
  • Coordinate tender and bid submissions, aligning internal contributors and external partners to ensure timely, high-quality results
  • Consolidate commercial, financial and technical inputs for specific bids, ensuring accuracy and consistency

About you:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent, ideally in a business, science, or economics-related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in tender and bid or related commercial roles, including 2+ years in a team leadership position
  • In-depth understanding of tender processes within healthcare; familiarity with NHS procurement is advantageous
  • Skilled in drafting and coordinating complex tenders and bids, with a strong focus on process optimisation
  • Demonstrated ability to engage and manage a wide range of internal and external contributors
  • Proficient in MS Office applications; experience with TenderEyes and SharePoint is a plus
