The Vacancy

We have a great opportunity for a full-time Tenancy Compliance Adviser to join our Neighbourhood Management team. The role involves promoting a positive landlord/tenant relationship based on compliance with the tenancy agreement, through engagement with residents, early intervention, and monitoring of agreements to address poor property conditions.

You will primarily work from home; however, this role involves frequent tenant visits in the Peterborough area. Therefore, you need to be within travelling distance, hold a full UK driving licence, and have access to a suitably insured vehicle for business use.

Core Responsibilities include:
  1. Monitoring tenant compliance with ‘property compacts’ designed to improve property conditions and developing positive relationships with residents to meet objectives within the property compact.
  2. Understanding and implementing CKH’s standards for property condition fairly and consistently.
  3. Identifying patterns of non-engagement, lack of progress, or disguised compliance when addressing poor property conditions, and escalating issues to Neighbourhood Managers for further action.
  4. Managing a caseload of anti-social behaviour cases requiring early intervention, including neighbour disputes, parking issues, and concerns related to drug use or smell, to improve residents’ quality of life. Implementing strategies to address non-compliance and support residents experiencing anti-social behaviour.
  5. Maintaining records of resident contact and actions within CKH’s databases, including documenting anti-social behaviour cases, and providing evidence for legal enforcement when required. Ensuring records adhere to data protection principles.
  6. Managing tenancy processes and procedures proactively, ensuring compliance with legal requirements, statutory timescales, and CKH policies, and meeting Key Performance Indicators.
  7. Safeguarding children and adults by identifying potential concerns and working with the Neighbourhood Manager to make timely referrals to statutory agencies.

This position requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.
