TATA Steel, Port Talbot, is recruiting a Temporary Works Co-ordinator for a 3-year assignment. The role adheres to BS 5975 and acts as safety gatekeeper to ensure temporary works are correctly designed, checked, erected and inspected.

Key duties include maintaining the Temporary Works Register, managing design checks, issuing permits, and enforcing procedural controls. Requires TWCTC, SMSTS/SSSTS, NEBOSH or NVQ6/7 and a CSCS card. Competitive pay and progression opportunities offered.

Qualificações

• TWCTC completion or equivalent
• SMSTS or SSSTS certification
• NEBOSH Construction Certificate or NVQ6/7 in Construction Site Management
• CSCS Black Manager or Gold Supervisor/Engineer card required
• Demonstrated experience in temporary works coordination and site safety

Responsabilidades

• Maintain the Temporary Works Register (TWR) with up-to-date logs for all items
• Manage design and checks, ensuring design briefs are issued and checked by a competent person
• Issue and control permits (Permit to Load, Permit to Dismantle/Unload)
• Enforce formal procedural controls on temporary structures and activities
• Oversee site execution and inspections to verify conformance with drawings and specs
• Exercise stop-work authority when works are unapproved or unsafe
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure compliance and safety across the site
