Pertemps is seeking a Temporary Works Design Engineer for a Warrington-based role within a specialist civil and structural engineering consultancy. The role covers design, analysis and delivery of temporary works across the UK construction sector.

The successful candidate will join a technically strong team, responsible for producing calculations, drawings and design packages, while collaborating closely with contractors. Hybrid working, flexible hours and comprehensive benefits are on offer.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Experience in temporary works, structural or civil engineering design.
• Good understanding of structural analysis and design principles.
• Ability to produce clear calculations and technical information.
• Practical understanding of construction and buildability.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with contractors.
• Engineers looking to develop further within temporary works design are particularly suited to the position.

Responsibilities

• Design and analysis of temporary works structures and solutions.
• Producing detailed calculations, drawings and technical design packages.
• Developing practical and cost-efficient designs with buildability in mind.
• Undertaking design checks and supporting technical assurance.
• Liaising closely with contractors and construction teams.
• Providing technical input from concept through to delivery on site.
• Working alongside engineers and technicians to deliver coordinated design information.
