Job summary

Employment Solutions Ltd in Manchester is seeking a Temporary Works Design Engineer to join a growing UK structural engineering business. The role focuses on creating safe temporary works designs for bridge and structural projects and is site-based in Manchester with daily commuting to the facility.

You will perform structural analysis, calculations, prepare drawings and documentation, identify risks and support project teams.

Qualifications

Degree, HNC or HND in Civil, Structural, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
Experience in structural analysis, engineering calculations and temporary works design.
Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to visit project sites.
ICE/IStructE membership desirable.

Responsibilities

Develop safe and practical temporary works designs for bridge and structural projects.
Undertake structural analysis, engineering calculations and technical design.
Prepare and review drawings, calculations, specifications and technical documentation.
Identify design risks and develop appropriate engineering solutions.
Support design reviews, technical meetings and project teams.
Work closely with Project Managers, CAD Technicians and Engineering.
Ensure designs comply with relevant standards, client requirements and engineering procedures.
