ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to ongoing company growth, my client is looking to expand their in-house temporary works design capabilities. They are recruiting a permanent Temporary Works Design Engineer to provide design engineering services within the Temporary Works Design Team. Reporting directly to the Head of Engineering, the candidate should be competent in producing temporary works for sectors such as demolition, piling, basement construction, and heavy civil engineering. Experience with temporary works design, basement propping schemes, pile design, and steel towers for party wall retention, excavations, and similar projects is required. The engineer will represent the company at meetings with clients, professionals, and suppliers.

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates should hold suitable tertiary qualifications and be accredited by a professional body or working towards full chartership. Extensive knowledge of current ‘Euro’ code design standards is necessary. A minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience in designing temporary works within demolition, piling, bulk excavation, and basement construction sectors is required. Proficiency in AutoCAD / 3D Modelling is also expected.
