Job description

Job Title: Temporary Works Coordinator

We are currently looking to hire an experienced Temporary Works Coordinator to join our Infrastructure team based in Sellafield on the BEPPS2 Project within the 15-year KDP8 framework.

The Temporary Works Coordinator Role
  1. Support all aspects of temporary works design, coordination, submission, compliance, programming, and management, maintaining the Temporary Works Register and similar roles within Construction.
  2. Serve as the first point of contact between Temporary Works designers and the site team/contractors.
  3. Coordinate all Temporary Works activities.
  4. Ensure design briefs are prepared by relevant team members, are adequate, and meet site requirements, with review and approval by the Area or Lead TWC.
  5. Oversee the execution of satisfactory Temporary Works designs, including design checks and approvals.
  6. Manage appointments for contractors and keep them updated during construction stages.
  7. Conduct pre-erection inspections of temporary works materials and components.
  8. Supervise the erection, safe use, maintenance, and dismantling of temporary works.
  9. Verify that temporary works are erected per approved designs and issue permits to load and dismantle as appropriate.
  10. Implement a Change Control process to manage modifications or remedial actions on-site.
  11. Ensure proper maintenance and inspection of Temporary Works, including regular audits or surveillance.
  12. Review and approve Temporary Works designs from contractors or in-house teams.
  13. Manage interfaces across production and subcontractor teams.
Your Profile
  • Current TWC CITB Certification or equivalent, valid CSCS card, with contractor/subcontractor management experience.
  • Degree or equivalent in Engineering, preferably Civil or Structural.
  • Demonstrable experience in temporary works design/delivery management on large infrastructure projects.
  • Strong organizational, influencing, and communication skills.
  • Effective stakeholder management and relationship-building abilities.
  • Full driving license.
