Job summary

Smyths Toys is hiring Sales Assistants on a temporary contract with hourly pay of £12.90 for over 21 and £11.00 for under 21. Stores operate daily across the UK, offering a fun environment and opportunities for career growth.

Ideal candidates will have retail experience in areas like Outdoor/Bikes, Nursery, Software & Gaming, or Backdoor/Warehouse, and be flexible with shifts as stores are open 7 days a week.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is desirable.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to be flexible across store days and hours.
• Basic cash handling and till operation awareness.

Responsibilities

• Provide a high level of customer service.
• Ascertain customers’ needs and wants.
• Work as part of a fast paced and dynamic team.
• Keep the store clean and tidy.
• Pack shelves and merchandise.
• Work delivery and complete price changes.
• Work on the tills.
• Learn about and keep up to date with our products in order to help customers.
