Salary: £24,250 plus commission
Hours: 37 per week: Mon-Thu 9-5.30, Fri 9-5
Dates: Start date 26th May OR 2nd June - contracts until the end of September 2025
Location: New Era Square, Sheffield City Centre

UniHomes is looking for energetic and driven individuals to join our sales team for the upcoming peak season (May/June - September 2025). In this role, you'll play a crucial role in welcoming new UniHomes shared utility bill customers for the 2025/26 academic year, ensuring they have a smooth onboarding experience and feel excited about their choice.

This role focuses on offering our all-inclusive utility bills solution to students who have already secured their 2025/26 shared accommodation. Full training will be given, but please familiarise yourself with our producthere .

You will use an in-depth knowledge of our hassle-free, all-inclusive gas, electric, water, broadband and TV licence service for students, helping customers over the phone with any queries they may have to ensure they feel excited about using UniHomes. You will establish rapport, understand the needs of customers and link our features and benefits to a specific customer’s situation.

This is an ideal role for those who enjoy and are good at B2C sales, but who want to escape the traditional call centre setting. At UniHomes our team is small and friendly, our city centre office is state–of–the–art, we don’t work shifts, we don’t work weekends, and on Friday we do drinks at 4.30. We pay £24,250 pa and the commission is uncapped making this a rewarding and lucrative opportunity for those hungry to succeed in sales.

These are fixed-term contracts from May 26th or 2nd June until the end of September 2025. You will work 9-5.30 Monday through Thursday and 9-5 Friday.


Key responsibilities:

  • Making and answering calls to qualified leads to learn about and address customer needs and onboarding them to become customers of UniHomes.
  • Responding efficiently and accurately to callers, explaining possible solutions, and ensuring that they feel supported and valued.
  • Engaging in active listening with callers, confirming or clarifying information.
  • Building lasting relationships with customers and colleagues.
  • Utilising software appropriately.
  • Meeting or exceeding sales targets while providing excellent consistent customer service.

Skills and experience:

  • Experience working in a targeted telesales or other sales role is desired.
  • You must be target driven and persistent.
  • You must have a confident telephone manner and build rapport quickly when speaking to new people.
  • Resilient and consistent, with the ability to bounce back from setbacks and remain focused on goals.
  • Excellent written communication skills with good spelling and grammar.
  • Hard working, proactive, self-motivated and professional.
  • Ability to work independently as well as with your team.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail.
  • A strong work ethic with the ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience using Salesforce or a similar CRM system would be an advantage but not essential.
  • Experience as a university student who has lived in a shared house or experience in the student accommodation sector would be useful but not essential.
