Overview

Salary: Grade 3 SCP 3-5 (£17,370-£17,921) Teaching Assistant Level 2 - 30 hours per week (including 2.5 hours lunchtime duty). To start as soon as possible. This post is temporary until 31.03.26 in the first instance. The Governing Body are seeking to appoint an excellent and highly dedicated Teaching Assistant to support in our nursery class. Neath Port Talbot Council is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The recruitment process for this post will be underpinned by rigorous safer recruitment assessment to ensure that children and young people are protected.

Experienced in working within the Foundation Learning.

Responsibilities
  • Support in the nursery class to promote learning and development.
  • Provide 2.5 hours of lunchtime duty as part of the 30 hours per week.
  • Contribute to whole-school development and work as a positive team member.
  • Encourage children to become independent learners and thinkers and to use their own initiative.
Qualifications and requirements
  • Qualified to at least NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
  • Experience in Foundation Learning is preferred.
