Role and Context

Rhondda Cynon Taf Access and Inclusion Service wish to appoint an appropriately qualified and experienced temporary teacher for the Learning Support Class for pupils with Complex Learning Needs for as soon as possible until the end of the Autumn Term 2026.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with pupils with Complex Learning Needs within the context of a mainstream school.

The class will support approximately 10 students from Year 3 – Year 6 and will be staffed by a teacher and one Learning Support Assistant.

Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality teaching and support to pupils in a Learning Support Class for Complex Learning Needs.
  • Collaborate with the class teacher and Learning Support Assistant to plan and deliver inclusive lessons.
  • Monitor and support pupil progress, behaviour and wellbeing within an inclusive mainstream setting.
Qualifications and Training
  • Ideally, experience of working with pupils with Complex Learning Needs.
  • Undertaken relevant specialist professional development. A successful candidate without specialist training will be expected to complete appropriate specialist training.
