Description

Job Description: This role is for a Temporary Summer Supervisor.

Salary: You will be paid an hourly rate in line with the Living Wage Foundation’s rates. Each month, you have the opportunity to achieve a bonus based on sales growth targets set by your manager. Exceeding these targets will result in additional bonuses for you and your team.

Location: You will primarily work in one shop, with occasional travel to other stores or training sessions, which may involve overnight stays. Working from home is not permitted.

Hours: Your weekly hours will be set by your manager based on business needs and your availability. Any significant changes may lead to adjustments in your hours. Shifts will be scheduled in coordination with the store manager, considering peak trading periods. Extra shifts will be fairly distributed among the team.

The Shop Floor

As a Supervisor, you'll create a welcoming shop environment, leading and inspiring the sales team to deliver outstanding customer service. Your goal is to ensure every visitor leaves satisfied, having received excellent service and found suitable products.

You will motivate and support sales assistants, providing regular coaching and training to improve their product knowledge and customer service skills. You will also greet customers warmly, engage with them to understand their needs, and provide personalized recommendations.

Facilitate effective product demonstrations, create an inclusive environment for events, maintain shop presentation, and assist with stock management. Handle customer inquiries professionally and review team performance regularly.

Supporting and Growing the Business

You will help drive sales, motivate the team, and contribute to business growth through in-store events and outreach. In the absence of the Store Manager, you will lead the store to ensure sales and operations run smoothly.

You will communicate financial goals, manage stock levels, and identify opportunities for increased profitability.

Your Team

Maintain open communication, support recruitment and training, and ensure a safe work environment by following health and safety procedures.

Leadership

Lead by example on the shop floor, support the store manager in setting team goals, and help develop the management team through coaching and training. Foster a collaborative and high-standard team environment.

Your Development

Contribute ideas to improve the shop, participate in training, and seek opportunities for personal growth. Engage with other managers and supervisors to foster collaboration.
