Job description

Our client is seeking a Senior Product Manager - Mobile to join them on a full-time 12-month contract. The role can be based in Guernsey, Jersey, or the Isle of Man and follows standard office hours. Reporting to the Head of Product, you will take ownership of the mobile services strategy, overseeing the full product lifecycle across the Channel Islands and Isle of Man. This includes driving new and existing revenue growth in competitive consumer and SME markets. You will lead the development of five-year strategic plans, Annual Operating Plans, and forecasts, collaborating closely with commercial, technical, customer experience, and regulatory teams to align goals and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Job Duties:

  1. Drive the strategic development of the mobile product portfolio, balancing innovation with the optimisation of existing services.
  2. Oversee the integration of newly acquired assets, aligning processes and customer experience across all functions.
  3. Optimise legacy products to maintain value in a changing market environment.
  4. Lead mobile product and service strategy in alignment with the company's five-year and annual operating plans.
  5. Enhance digital experiences across owned products, improving customer journeys and reducing operational overheads.
  6. Monitor and evaluate product performance, collaborating with stakeholders to maximise revenue, market share, and margins.
  7. Conduct strategic assessments of the product portfolio, including customer behaviour, financial performance, and market trends.
  8. Deliver regular KPI, revenue, and research reports to guide strategic decisions.
  9. Carry out competitor, industry, and customer research to support product development.
  10. Manage forecasting and budgeting processes in collaboration with Finance.
  11. Provide expert advice to Retail, Customer Support, and Business teams on product matters.
  12. Maintain relationships with existing suppliers and proactively manage revenue or margin risks.
  13. Ensure compliance with licensing, regulatory obligations, and health and safety standards.
  14. Undertake required security and data protection training and follow appropriate incident reporting procedures.

Job Requirements:

  1. Proven experience in product management and service strategy.
  2. Strong commercial awareness with the ability to balance business goals and customer expectations.
  3. Demonstrable skills in market analysis, customer behaviour insight, and financial performance evaluation.
  4. Strong data analysis and reporting capabilities.
  5. Proven experience managing stakeholders and working cross-functionally.
  6. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  7. Strong problem-solving skills and project management experience.
  8. Experience in digital transformation and customer journey optimisation is highly desirable.
  9. Background in budgeting, forecasting, and revenue optimisation is desirable.
  10. Experience in customer relationship management is desirable.
  11. Ability to work collaboratively across departments to meet strategic objectives.
  12. Self-motivated, well-organised, and confident communicating across all levels of the organisation.
  13. Must hold a satisfactory Basic Police Disclosure due to the nature of the role.
