The successful candidate will need to be proactive and dedicated as this is a dual-role position that combines supervising the day-to-day facilities operations across the college site with providing reliable and safe transport for students and staff as required. It will play a key role in maintaining a safe, clean, efficient and compliant environment for learning, and ensure that our vehicles and facilities are well managed.

The working pattern is 36 hours per week, 7:45am - 4pm Monday - Friday, one hour.

Job Description

Oversee day-to-day site operations, including general maintenance, minor repairs, and safety checks.

Ensure buildings and grounds are safe, secure, and accessible for students and staff.

Manage contractor visits and ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and college policies.

Maintain accurate records of vehicle checks, maintenance, site inspections, and supplies.

Profile
  • Full, clean UK driving licence (with D1 category and willingness to obtain MIDAS certification).
  • Previous experience in facilities, premises, or site management, ideally in an education or care setting.
  • Good working knowledge of health & safety, safeguarding, and building security procedures.
  • Practical maintenance skills.
  • A calm, flexible, and responsible approach when supporting vulnerable students and working across sites.
