Berry Recruitment is seeking a reliable and experienced School Cook for a temporary cover role in Basingstoke. Shifts run 8:00am to 2:00pm on 27th August 2026 and from 1st September to 11th September 2026.

The pay rate is £20.00 per hour, with requirements including enhanced DBS, Level 2 Food Safety, and Food Allergen Awareness certificates. Applicants should have prior school catering experience, be reliable, and able to work in a busy kitchen while complying with food safety and allergen

Qualifications

• Previous experience working as a School Cook or in a similar catering environment
• Enhanced DBS certificate
• Level 2 Food Safety Certificate
• Food Allergen Awareness Certificate
• Reliable and able to work well in a busy kitchen environment
• Able to prepare and serve meals in line with food safety and allergen regulations
