Job summary

Boundary Outlet in Newcastle is seeking a friendly, customer-focused Sales Assistant for a 12-month temporary position. You will split your time between tills and the stock room, delivering a welcoming shopping experience and helping customers with enquiries.

The role is 20 hours per week across four days, with weekend/evening/bank holiday flexibility. Training is provided, and you will be part of a small, busy team in a vibrant retail setting at Boundary Outlet.

Qualifications

• Experience in retail or customer-facing roles preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Willingness to work weekends/evenings/bank holidays.

Responsibilities

• Welcoming customers to the store and providing excellent customer service.
• Assisting with product enquiries and offering recommendations.
• Maintaining product displays and ensuring the shop floor is tidy and well-stocked.
• Supporting your team to achieve sales targets and deliver a seamless shopping experience.
• Staying informed about promotions, offers, and new arrivals to share with customers.
• Operate tills and handle transactions accurately, including cash and card payments.
• Assist with bagging items and handling queries during checkout.
• Maintain a tidy and organised till area.
• Ensure stock is tagged, ticketed and steamed ready to go out on the shop floor.

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and customer-focused Sales Assistant to join our team. As the face of Boundary Outlet, you will ensure our customers have an enjoyable and memorable shopping experience. This role will also spend time working as a Till Operator along with spending some time in our stock room.
