Job Title: Temporary QC Lab Assistant

Location: WR15, Tenbury Wells

Contract Type: Temporary (with potential extension)

Pay: £13.07 ph

Hours: Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week

Shifts: Day shift preferred initially

gap personnel Gloucester are currently recruiting for a Temporary Quality Control (QC) Lab Assistant to join a busy, fast-paced food manufacturing business in the Worcestershirearea. This role supports the QC Lab team with finished product testing and general laboratory duties.

The Role:
You’ll be working in a hands-on lab environment where full training and support will be provided. Key responsibilities include:

• Performing routine product quality checks: RS, pH, viscosity, colour, etc.

• Recording and reporting data accurately

• Supporting general lab operations

• Shadowing experienced team members to build competence

Shift Patterns:

• Day Shift (for training):

  • Monday–Thursday: 08:00–16:00 or 09:00–17:00

  • Friday: 08:00–15:00 or 09:00–16:00

• Early Shift:

  • Monday–Thursday: 06:00–14:00

  • Friday: 05:00–12:00

• Late Shift:

  • Monday–Thursday: 14:00–22:00

  • Friday: 12:00–19:00

Contract Duration:

• Temporary position until at least end of August 2025

• Possibility of extension depending on business needs

Pay Rate:

• £13.07 per hour

Candidate Requirements:

• No prior lab experience required – full training provided

• Background or interest in Quality Control or laboratory work is desirable

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and keen to learn

• Able to commit to full-time hours on a temporary basis

• Own Transport, due to location
