Job description

MacKenzie King are working with a thriving business located in East Ipswich to recruit a temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk with Sage 200 experience into their small, highly successful team. As Purchase Ledger Clerk the successful candidate will support the finance team with management of the accounts payable function, processing invoices, preparing payment runs and performing reconciliations amongst other responsibilities. This will be a rolling temporary position with no currently agreed end date. As an agency, MacKenzie King will work to support you throughout the assignment and thereafter.

Duties

  • Process purchase invoices and ensure they are accurately recorded in the accounting system
  • Raising weekly payment runs for suppliers
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
  • Communicate effectively with suppliers and internal departments to address queries and provide support
  • Uphold excellent phone etiquette when interacting with suppliers
  • Ad-hoc duties as required by the company

Requirements

  • Sage 200 experience is essential
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • Excellent clerical skills with a keen eye for detail for accurate data entry
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
  • Familiarity with office procedures and practices is advantageous
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team
