Trial Balance Consulting has exclusive assignment to recruit a Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk for a retailer near Newquay. The role covers the day-to-day management of the purchase ledger, reporting to the Financial Controller.

You will match, batch and code supplier invoices, process payment runs, reconcile supplier statements and resolve supplier queries. A solid grounding in accounts payable and attention to detail will help you thrive in a supportive finance team with onsite parking.

Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk - Indian Queens - £26,000 - £30,000 FTE

Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively assigned by a repeat client, a well-established retailer based near Newquay, to assist with the recruitment of a Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk to cover a period of sickness.

Working as part of a friendly and supportive finance team, and reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the purchase ledger function. Key duties will include matching, batching and coding supplier invoices, processing payment runs, reconciling supplier statements, and resolving supplier queries efficiently.

The role would suit either an up-and-coming finance professional with a solid understanding of accounts payable processes, or an experienced purchase ledger specialist seeking an interim opportunity. Applicants should possess excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and confident communication abilities, as the role will involve regular liaison with suppliers and colleagues across the wider business.
