Job summary

Trial Balance Consulting are recruiting a Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk to cover sickness for a well-established retailer near Newquay. Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will manage day-to-day purchase ledger tasks and maintain strong supplier relations.

The role requires accurate matching, batching and coding of invoices, processing payments, reconciliations, and prompt query resolution. Onsite parking is provided and the team is friendly and supportive.

Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk - Indian Queens- £26,000 - £30,000 FTE

Trial Balance Consulting have been exclusively assigned by a repeat client, a well-established retailer based near Newquay, to assist with the recruitment of a Temporary Purchase Ledger Clerk to cover a period of sickness.

Working as part of a friendly and supportive finance team, and reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will take responsibility for the day-to-day management of the purchase ledger function. Key duties will include matching, batching and coding supplier invoices, processing payment runs, reconciling supplier statements, and resolving supplier queries efficiently.

The role would suit either an up-and-coming finance professional with a solid understanding of accounts payable processes, or an experienced purchase ledger specialist seeking an interim opportunity. Applicants should possess excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and confident communication abilities, as the role will involve regular liaison with suppliers and colleagues across the wider business.
