This role is temporary for approximately 6 months, with the possibility of becoming permanent for the right candidate. It offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As a Production Operative, your responsibilities will include assembling products according to specifications, ensuring quality standards, and supporting the team to meet production targets. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, a proactive approach, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Primary responsibilities:

• Assemble a wide range of furnaces and ovens, involving electrical and mechanical parts and sub-assemblies.
• Coordinate with in-house personnel to resolve build and design issues.
• Accurately complete timesheets, ensuring correct routing codes and time booking.
• Monitor stock levels for overstocks and shortages, discussing issues with relevant personnel.
• Work to set deadlines while adhering to quality principles.

Key skills and qualifications:

• Basic electrical knowledge.
• Ability to read drawings.
• Ability to follow standard working practices.
• Experience in manufacturing or production environments, with electrical knowledge or assembly experience being advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.

• 38 hours/week, 4-day week, rotating shifts (Monday–Thursday/Tuesday–Friday) or 37.5 hours/week (Mon–Thurs 8:00–16:45, Fri 8:00–12:30) with early finish on Fridays.
