Job description

Robertson Bell is delighted to be partnering with a well-respected charity seeking an interim Management Accountant for an initial 3-6 month contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a values-driven organisation and play a key role in financial management and decision support.

The Role:

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will take ownership of the production of management accounts and support the wider organisation with insightful financial analysis. Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of timely and accurate management accounts.
  • Budgeting and forecasting, including liaising with budget holders.
  • Variance analysis to support organisational decision-making.
  • Cashflow monitoring and reporting.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations, including managing high-volume data.
  • Supporting the annual budget-setting process and medium-term financial planning.
  • Providing financial insight to non-finance colleagues, promoting understanding of financial performance.

Key Requirements:

  • Part or fully qualified (CIMA, ACCA or equivalent).
  • 3-5 years' accounting experience, ideally with some charity sector exposure.
  • Strong management accounts, budgeting, forecasting, and reconciliation skills.
  • Knowledge of restricted/unrestricted funds, Gift Aid, and charity VAT (desirable).
