Temporary Lettings Officer, Local Authority Housing, Central London

Pay rate: £23.94 per hour

Contract role within the Housing Management Service

Pertemps is recruiting an experienced Temporary Lettings Officer in the Central London area.

You will need experience in a similar role within a Local Authority Housing Department.

Responsibilities:
  1. Manage all housing management phases of the voids and lettings process.
  2. Collaborate with the Allocations Team, Voids Team, and contractors to achieve turnaround targets.
  3. Conduct pre-inspections, accompanied viewings, and tenancy sign-ups (both in-person and virtual). Provide information on tenancy rights, property standards, and the allocations process.
  4. Promote properties using a customer-focused, “estate agency” style approach during viewings.
  5. Maintain accurate records and report on lettings activity.
  6. Assist residents with moving advice, tenancy obligations, and housing queries. Attend evictions and coordinate follow-up actions as needed.
  7. Deliver excellent customer service and respond promptly to inquiries.
