We are working closely alongside a Local Authority in City of Westminster to assist with the appointment of a Temporary Lettings Officer, on a 3-month contract, likely to be extended at clients discretion. Please apply with your CV for immediate consideration.

Rate of Pay: £12.89 per hour

Summary:

Westminster City Councils Housing Services play a vital role in supporting local communities and delivering high-quality housing solutions. We are looking for a proactive and customer-focused Temporary Lettings Officer to join our Housing Management team and support the delivery of an efficient and responsive lettings service.

This office-based role is central to managing the end-to-end lettings process minimising rent loss, reducing void turnaround times, and ensuring tenants move into homes that are safe, clean, and ready to occupy.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all housing management aspects of the voids and lettings process.
  • Liaise with the Allocations Team, Voids Team, and contractors to meet turnaround targets.
  • Carry out pre-void inspections, accompanied and virtual viewings, and tenancy sign-ups.
  • Provide new tenants with clear guidance on their rights, responsibilities, and property standards.
  • Offer an estate agency style experience during viewings, highlighting property features.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with the public or in a customer service setting.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage a varied caseload in a fast-paced, front-line environment.
  • Proficiency in IT systems and accurate data entry.
  • A proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
  • Understanding of equality and diversity in housing services.

  • You should be available to work immediately or at a short notice.
  • You should have right to work in U.K
  • This role requires an Enhanced DBS
