Temporary Lecturer in Maths – St Helens College

  • Location: St Helens, Merseyside
  • Salary: £27,204-£36,504 per year
  • Contract: Temporary
  • Hours: Full-time (36 hours per week)
  • Status: Maternity cover until October 2026

Responsibilities

At St Helens College and Knowsley Community College, the lecturer will provide high quality education, training and skills to college students and clients to meet the Colleges’ mission, aims and objectives. You will be responsible for the co-ordination and delivery of teaching, training and assessment on the courses you teach, and accountable to the Head of School (HOS) and Deputy Head of School (DHOS) for the academic and professional standards, performance and outcomes of the HE/FE/Work-based courses on which you teach.

The successful candidate must
  • Have experience of teaching and motivating FE students.
  • Hold a relevant degree; a higher degree is desirable.
  • Have a relevant teaching qualification or equivalent teaching qualification, or be willing to achieve this qualification within a set period upon appointment.
  • Have GCSE Maths and English (A-C).
  • Be well organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
