Temporary HR Business Partner/Seconded HR Business Partner

Travel Required : Yes, if cluster-based

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Reports to : Head of HR Business Partnering

Location: Hybrid (min 2 days on site per week if within reasonable travelling distance of TP site) will consider WAH if candidate not within reasonable travel to TP site

Job Summary/Overview

The HR Business Partner is responsible for providing best-in-class expertise and advice on employee relations and HR practices across their business area, ensuring support and guidance are effectively delivered.

This role focuses on supporting employees, managers, and the wider business to achieve optimal outcomes, balancing employee wellbeing with business needs. The HR Business Partner is adaptable, pragmatic, and maintains professionalism in a fast-paced contact centre environment, capable of multi-tasking and prioritizing.

The role adopts a comprehensive business partnering approach, collaborating with stakeholders from departments such as Operational Delivery, Recruitment, Training, Workforce Management, Payroll, and others. It involves understanding local and wider business needs and translating this into effective HR practices.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
  • Support all day-to-day HR activities within the local site/business area.
  • Engage with stakeholders, employees, and managers to understand local needs and develop targeted HR strategies.
  • Monitor and analyze HR data (performance, quality, absence, attrition, engagement) to identify trends and root causes, enabling timely solutions.
  • Collaborate on strategic HR plans to improve the working environment and maintain or enhance KPI performance.

Provide practical advice and support across Employee Relations disciplines: grievance, disciplinary, absence, performance management, and wellbeing.

  • Ensure advice aligns with policies, legislation, and best practices.
  • Coach managers to support their teams and mitigate risks.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders across various functions.
  • Comply with all relevant legislation and company policies, including GDPR, the Equality Act, and Employment Rights Act.
  • Champion HR automation and streamlining for efficiency.
  • Stay informed on HR trends, employment law, and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to add value and improve HR practices.
  • Maintain HR activity statistics and prepare reports.
  • Support HR initiatives, projects, and change programs like TUPE and restructuring.
  • Contribute to HR policy development and education.
  • Participate in meetings and complete administrative HR tasks.
  • Support the Head of HR Business Partnering as required.
  • Promote high employee engagement through recognition and engagement programs.

Main Job Requirements

Education and Training

  • Formal HR qualification (e.g., CIPD membership, Degree in HR) or equivalent experience.
  • Knowledge of employment law, including Irish employment law (desirable).

Work Experience

  • At least 2 years HR experience in a contact centre environment or 3 years in a high-paced industry.

Certifications

  • Lean Six Sigma Yellow Belt (preferred).

  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (SAP, Workday, etc.) and MS Office.
