Overview

Masterclass Education is working in partnership with a professional football club in Crawley to recruit one full-time Sports Coach on a temporary basis. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional football environment, delivering high-quality sessions to young people through the club's community and development programmes. Due to the immediate start, you will ideally already hold a DBS certificate registered on the Update Service.

The Role

This full-time temporary position will see you delivering engaging football sessions to children and young people in a variety of settings, including schools, holiday camps, and club programmes. You'll play an important role in supporting the development of technical ability, fitness, teamwork, and confidence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver structured and age-appropriate sports coaching sessions
  • Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment
  • Support technical, tactical, and social development in young players
  • Communicate effectively with participants, parents, and staff
  • Manage session setup, equipment, and reporting
Person Specification

Essential:

  • Previous experience sports coaching (paid or voluntary)
  • Passion for sport and youth development
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to work full-time hours including some evenings/weekends
  • Willingness to complete safeguarding and first aid training

Desirable:

  • FA Playmaker or Introduction to Coaching Football (or equivalent entry-level course)
  • Experience coaching in schools, grassroots football, or community programmes
  • Full UK driving licence and access to transport
