A leading company is seeking a Temporary Full Time Clerical Assistant for a maternity cover position lasting up to one year. The successful candidate will engage in a variety of clerical duties, including financial analysis and support for recruitment processes. Ideal candidates will have National 5 qualifications and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Word and Excel. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team are essential.

You will be responsible, as part of a team, for clerical office practices and procedures.

Requirements
  • 4 National 5s or equivalent, including English and numeracy
  • Level 1 Disclosure from Disclosure Scotland (required before appointment)
Responsibilities
  • Assist with bank account management, reconciliation, transaction monitoring, and report preparation
  • Assist with financial analysis, data entry, report preparation, and handling of complaints
  • Use of Oracle for processing invoices and raising debtor accounts through Ash
  • Complete quarterly VAT returns to HMRC
  • Support recruitment and payroll processes
  • Record and check incident report forms
  • Conduct research for management to prepare reports, procedures, and policies
  • Develop and maintain systems for Freedom of Information, Data Protection, and other procedures
  • Maintain inventories and records for insurance claims
  • Ensure compliance with data protection laws and develop related systems
  • Support the Concession Scheme, PRS, and PPL returns
