Role: Fleet Assistant

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Temporary, full time

We are seeking a reliable Temporary Motor/Van Mechanic with basic mechanical skills to assist in the maintenance and servicing of our fleet vehicles. The ideal candidate will carry out routine inspections, basic repairs, and maintenance tasks under supervision to ensure vehicles are safe and operational.

You will be working in Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Glasgow.

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual inspections of vehicles to identify issues such as leaks, worn parts, or damage.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance including oil and filter changes, fluid top-ups, and air filter replacements.
• Inspect tires and brakes for wear and report any concerns.
• Test and maintain vehicle batteries, including cleaning terminals and checking connections.

• Valid UK, European, or International Manual license, 12+ months UK driving, max 6 penalty points.
• Basic knowledge of vehicle maintenance and mechanical systems.
• Ability to use hand tools and basic diagnostic equipment.
• Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.
• Commitment to health and safety standards.
• Previous experience in a workshop or similar environment is a plus but not essential.
