Job summary

Confidential school in the Tenterden area is seeking a School Finance Assistant on a temporary basis with a view to permanent for the right candidate. The role supports the Finance Manager with day-to-day invoicing, payments, journals and monthly reconciliations, under strict financial controls.

Experience with Access Dimensions is essential; AAT qualification is preferred. Hybrid working may be offered, and both part-time and full-time hours will be considered. Immediate start is required.

Job description

My client, a long-established school based in the Tenterden area, are looking to recruit a School Finance Assistant to join the finance team on a temporary basis with a view to becoming permanent for the right person

Working under the close tutelage of the Finance Manager, this role will oversee the day-to-day invoicing cycle for the school, including all relevant financial administration around invoice and payment processing, journals and monthly bank account reconciliations. Additionally, the role will give the opportunity to work on budget management and reporting, month end closing and ad hoc financial reporting.

It is imperative that you have experience in using Access Dimensions. Applications are sought from individuals' part or fully AAT qualified, with school's experience. The desire to learn and develop under the current finance team is important as there is long term development potential on offer with this role.

My client is looking to fill this role as a matter of urgency so you must be available immediately. Education sector experience is preferable. This role could be offered with hybrid working. Part or Full Time will be considered.
