Job summary

Pertemps Southampton is seeking a temporary Facilities Team Member in Southampton to support a busy facilities unit. The role involves hands-on maintenance tasks to keep the property safe, compliant, and well presented during the assignment.

You'll carry out practical duties such as water flushing, touch-up painting, general handyman tasks, and daily site upkeep, reporting issues to the Facilities Manager, and following health and safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance, facilities, or handyman experience.
• Practical approach with good DIY and basic repair skills.
• Experience using hand tools safely and effectively.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Good attention to detail and a proactive attitude.
• Able to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Understanding of health and safety in a maintenance environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out water flushing in line with site procedures.
• Completing touch-up painting across the property.
• Assisting with general handyman and maintenance tasks.
• Supporting the Facilities Team with day-to-day maintenance activities.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
• Reporting any maintenance issues or defects to the Facilities Manager.
• Following all health and safety policies and procedures.
