Job description

Are you determined to make a difference?

We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our management team at Calverton Leisure Centre on a temporary basis (up to 12 months). This may be extended.

You will be part of the management rota, working a variety of shifts and assisting in the organisation and co-ordination of the leisure centre’s day to day operations. You will ensure the centre runs smoothly, in accordance with all health and safety guidelines, and promote a successful customer journey.

Working closely with other Duty managers you will help to promote and encourage the wider use of the centre to increase users and income. You will work as a champion for our popular DNA Fitness Membership and successful Swim School, promoting health and wellbeing to our local residents and the community.

Previous experience of leisure facility operation alongside practical building management experience is essential. You must also have a high level of numeracy and literacy – 5 GCSEs at grade 9-4 (A-C) or equivalent.

In return, we offer excellent working conditions including a generous holiday entitlement, a comprehensive pension scheme and access to an Employee Assistance Programme, providing advice on a range of issues including financial and legal matters, and offering discounts on purchases from numerous retail outlets. We also offer employees reduced gym membership at Gedling’s Leisure Centres.
