Your new role
This is a hands on, varied role for a communications generalist. You'll support both internal and external communications, helping to engage staff, residents and stakeholders through a range of channels and content types.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and deliver engaging internal communications to keep colleagues informed and connected
Create and manage external communications, including press releases, newsletters, and community updates
Support event planning and delivery-from tenant engagement sessions to staff briefings
Design and produce digital content, including graphics and short videos, for web and social media
Maintain and update website and intranet content
Monitor communications performance and contribute to continuous improvement
What you'll need to succeed
You'll be a confident communicator with excellent writing skills and a keen eye for design. You're organised, creative, and comfortable juggling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Proven experience in a communications role (in-house or agency)
Strong copywriting and editing abilities
Experience creating visual and video content (e.g., Canva, Adobe Suite or similar tools)
Familiarity with managing social media channels and websites (e.g., WordPress)
Able to work collaboratively and independently
An understanding of the social housing or public sector environment is desirable but not essential
What you'll get in return
- hourly rate of £17-£19 per hour paid to you weekly through Morgan Hunt payroll
- Hybrid working (1-3 days in the office)
- Contracted work covering a period of sick leave, monthly rolling contract
