Temporary Catering Assistant

Outskirts of Newark

3 month Contract

£12.21 per hour

30 hours per week Monday to Thursday

Our client based on the outskirts of Newark is looking for a catering assistant to join them on a 3 month temporary basis to help cover in their on site catering facility.

The role of Catering Assistant is:

To perform general kitchen duties within the Catering Department involving fresh food preparation, cooking, cleaning, pot washing, vending and customer service. Working as a team to a high standard and in compliance with Health and Safety and Food Safety Regulations.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Food preparation to include salad bar, cooking, breakfast, buffet work. With the aid of and use of preparation machines.

• Deliver tea & coffee, buffets.

• Serve food at lunch time. Be able to operate the till, and some cashing up procedures.

• Cleaning, and filling out relevant records, follow Safer Food Better Business procedures.

To be considered for the role of Catering Assistant you must:

• Have Previous Catering experience

• Have Strong communication skills both written and verbal

• Be Educated to GCSC Level for maths and English

• Be aware of Health and Safety regulations and HACCP.

Preferred Qualifications:

• N.V.Q or City & Guilds

Other relevant information:

Some manual handling and lifting required. Own transport is essential due to location
