Job summary

Quantinuum is seeking an Assistant Accountant to cover a maternity leave in Cambridge for 12-15 months. The role involves processing day-to-day financial transactions, supporting month-end close, and ensuring accurate accounting records.

You will assist with financial controls and reporting in a collaborative finance team. The ideal candidate has prior experience as an Assistant Accountant or Accounts Assistant, strong Excel skills, and a proactive approach to process improvements.

Qualifications

• Experience as Assistant Accountant or Accounts Assistant.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable, expenses and reconciliations.
• Experience supporting month-end close.
• Excellent Excel skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and approvals.
• Manage purchase ledger and payment runs.
• Handle expense processing and bank reconciliations.
• Support month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Maintain fixed asset registers and period-end reporting.
