Assembly Operative - Temporary Contract
From £12.21 per hour | 3-4 months

We are looking for an Assembly Operative to join our team on a temporary basis. You will be responsible for assembling and testing components, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, and to a high standard.

Responsibilities
  • Assemble and test components (valves, switches, alternators, controls) into units or subassemblies.
  • Read and interpret assembly drawings and Bills of Materials.
  • Select and check materials against requirements.
  • Inspect products, escalate defects, and follow all Health, Safety, Quality, and Environmental standards.
  • Maintain a clean, organised workspace in line with 5S and preventative maintenance.
  • Support team KPIs, training, and continuous improvement.
Skills & Qualifications

  • Ability to read technical documents and follow procedures.
  • Confident with basic maths (fractions, decimals, whole numbers).
  • Practical problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Contract & Hours
  • Temporary contract (3-4 months).
  • Pay: From £12.21 per hour.
  • Hours: Mondays & Tuesdays 6:00 am - 4:00 pm, Wednesdays & Thursdays 6:00 am - 3:45 pm.
