Job description

Temporary Sales Ledger Assistant

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 6 months

Hours: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am - 5:00 pm

Hourly Rate: £14.50

Location: Leith

Our client is seeking an experienced Sales Ledger Accounts Assistant to support their team during a busy summer period.

Responsibilities:
  1. Creating sales invoices
  2. Verifying receipt and alignment of sales orders with sales invoices
  3. Reconciling remittance advices with sales invoices
  4. Organising Sales Ledger and Purchase Ledger documents
  5. Overseeing the receipt of supplier invoices
  6. Ensuring administrative submissions by Operations staff to Accounts are current
  7. Performing general administrative tasks within the Accounts Department as needed
Candidate Requirements:
  1. Exceptional attention to detail and diligence
  2. Experience with Sales Ledger or similar roles in an Accounts Department
  3. Proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook
  4. Strong numerical skills
  5. Effective communication skills
  6. Knowledge of fundamental accounting principles
