A reputable nanny agency in Wallington seeks a nurturing nanny for a temporary maternity cover role. Responsibilities include caring for an energetic toddler and providing newborn support later. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years nanny experience and a Paediatric First Aid Certificate. The role requires driving and involves standard nursery duties like preparing meals and organizing engaging activities. A warm, reliable, and fun personality is essential for integrating into the family’s routine through their maternity period.
A lovely family in Wallington is seeking a warm, confident nanny for a temporary maternity cover role, caring for their energetic 2½-year-old son and, in time, their newborn baby. Mum is on maternity leave until August, so the focus of the role initially will be on caring for the toddler, with care for both children required from late summer onwards.
Their little boy is very active, outdoorsy and curious. He loves visiting the farm, attending his regular activities and classes, and playing with anything transport‑related, diggers, cars, trains and more. The family encourages plenty of outdoor time whenever the weather allows and avoids screens during the day.
He has a mild dairy and soy allergy but is progressing well through the relevant diet ladders.
All standard nursery duties are required, including preparing meals, organising his activities, keeping his spaces tidy, and supporting his development through engaging play. Mum and Dad both work from home at times, but the family home is well set up to ensure space and privacy; there is a separate front room downstairs and offices upstairs, so the nanny can work comfortably without disruption.
This is a live‑out role for a nanny who enjoys working with toddlers, is confident supporting a newborn when needed, and can bring fun, structure and calm to the little boy’s day. The family is looking for someone caring, reliable and ready to integrate smoothly into their routine throughout the maternity cover period.
