Details

Pay rate: £17.36 per hour

Shifts – 09:00 – 18:00 (unless otherwise specified). Guaranteed 9 hours work on each day, unless specified differently as per above start time.

Operators are required to:

• Follow clear instructions
• Always adhere to Safety Standards
• Use tools such as Impact Drivers, Drills, Stanley Knives, and measuring tools
• Show agility and adapt to change easily with support from the Royal Mail Lead
• Be physically fit
• Be punctual and flexible depending on work requirements

Specific tasks include:

• Bolting and unbolting Royal Mail sorting Frames (approx. 5 ft high, 6 ft wide, 45 kg steel)
• Using a drill to screw and unscrew bolts in Frames
• Moving and repositioning sorting Frames with colleagues' support
• Applying Vinyl Wrap and Duct Tape onto sorting Frames under the direction of a Royal Mail lead
• Loading and unloading vehicles (large vans) at operational sites
