Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL in Leicester LE3 is seeking an experienced Material Handler to join a busy manufacturing site. The role is a day shift, 07:30–16:00, with an immediate start and a temp-to-perm progression.

Responsibilities include receiving, inspecting and putting away stock; supplying materials to the shop floor; maintaining inventory records; performing stock checks and cycle counts; investigating stock discrepancies; and labeling offcuts.

Qualifications

• FLT licence is essential.
• Experience working in an engineering company.
• Experience handling large/heavy sheet metal, including stainless steel.
• Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings.
• Experience conducting stock checks and cycle counts.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and put away stock.
• Supply materials to the shop floor (aluminium, stainless steel, mild steel sheets).
• Maintain and update inventory records with accuracy.
• Complete stock checks and cycle counts.
• Investigate stock discrepancies.
• Identify, label and store offcuts.
• Communicate with all departments effectively.
