Job summary

We are seeking a Manufacturing Operator to join Cummins Inc. for assembly operations in Daventry, Northamptonshire, UK.

The role operates on a 37.5-hour week with rotating shifts (Mornings and Afternoons) and is a temporary contract for up to 24 months with potential to go permanent based on performance and business needs. You will assemble engines, work to takt time, adapt to tasks to support production goals, maintain quality and safety standards, and communicate effectively with your team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Some work experience or intermediate level knowledge through education, training or on-the-job experience.

Responsibilities

• Assemble high horsepower engines and components on the line.
• Work to takt time and maintain rhythm of production.
• Adapt to multiple tasks to meet production goals.
• Maintain quality and safety standards at all times.
• Communicate clearly with team and support staff to boost productivity.
• Follow quality procedures and perform inspections to reduce defects and costs.
• Adhere to HSE standards and report hazards promptly to keep a safe workplace.
• Keep work area clean and perform routine maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
