A leading property solutions provider in Birmingham is looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee K&B maintenance and refurbishment projects, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and effective management of site teams. The Role
Due to our continued growth, we are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join Fortem, based in Birmingham with travel across the city. The Site Manager will work full-time, leading site teams and subcontractors on projects, managing and planning subcontract labor, and supporting a large capital works program focused on property enhancements, particularly Kitchen and Bathroom (K&B) maintenance and refurbishment. Experience with electrical aspects of K&B replacement programs, such as EICR, would be advantageous.
The Customer
You will be part of one of Fortem's largest Social Housing contracts with Birmingham City Council. This expanding 50m Repairs & Maintenance, Capital Works, and Retrofit contract is the largest social housing contract in Europe, managing over 22,500 properties including low, medium, and high-rise blocks. It is a fast-paced, focused, and well-established contract, re-awarded three times, demonstrating our commitment and capability.
Duties and Responsibilities
What You Will Need
Essential Criteria:
Confident in engaging and managing all levels of supply chain members, reviewing and challenging sub-contract RAMS, with experience working on electrical installation reports (EICR) and delivering refurbishment projects for affordable housing clients. Desirable skills include CIOB membership, knowledge of ASTA, working with JCT/NEC contracts, quality assurance, and temporary works knowledge.
