Job summary

Aspire People is recruiting School Maintenance Caretaker roles across the area. These are temporary positions running from September, with both full-time and part-time options available, and a chance (not guaranteed) to move to a permanent contract within schools.

You must be available to start immediately and be flexible for split shifts, for example 6:00 a.m.–10:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m., performing general maintenance, litter picking and door/alarm duties as required.

Qualifications

• Availability to start immediately.
• Flexible with split shift patterns and variable hours.
• Willing to undergo DBS checks and agency registration.

Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance of the school and litter picking.
• Complete odd jobs as directed by the supervisor.
• Open and close the school building.
• Work independently and in a team to complete tasks safely.
• Set alarms.
