Job summary

Aspire People Limited is recruiting for School Maintenance Caretaker roles across the area. Positions are temporary with potential move to a permanent contract; start dates from September and flexible hours with possible split shifts (e.g., 6:00–10:00 and 14:00–18:00).

Responsibilities include general school maintenance, odd jobs, opening/closing the building, and alarm setting. Right-to-work checks and Enhanced DBS processing are required, with a cost if not already on update service.

Qualifications

• Flexible with working hours; split shift patterns may be required.
• Available to start immediately for September positions.
• Enhanced DBS (Child Workforce) is required or can be processed through the agency at a cost.

School Maintenance Caretaker

As the Schools are closing for the summer, these positions will be from September.
I am currently looking to recruit a number of Maintenance professionals to work on an ongoing TEMPORARY basis, supporting the site teams in carrying out day to day general maintenance and site work in Schools across the area.

There will be FULL TIME AND PART TIME positions available throughout the School year which run for a variety amount of time.
There may also be an opportunity to move to a PERMANENT CONTRACT within the Schools although this is not guaranteed.

You must be available to start straight away and be FLEXIBLE WITH THE WORKING HOURS as some Schools require staff to work split shift patterns. FOR EXAMPLE 6:00a.m. - 10:00a.m then return 2:00p.m. - 6:00p.m.

As a full time temporary school caretaker, the school will expect you to essentially be a permanent member of staff so you will be expected to:

• Carry out general maintenance of the school as well as litter picking
• Carry out odd jobs delegated to you by the supervisor
• Open and close the school building
• Work independently and as a team to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently
• Set alarms

You will be required to fully register with us including providing right to work documents along with obtaining an ENHANCED CHILD WORKFORCE DBS that will be processed by us but come at a cost of £56.20 (unless you already have one registered on the update service). Please note you must be able to address this.
