Job summary

Pertemps Bond is recruiting for Royal Mail multi-drop postal delivery drivers in Wigan. This temporary role offers a start toward the end of October and pays £13.69 per hour. You will deliver letters and parcels by foot or vehicle, walking up to 8 miles per day and lifting up to 20kg.

Start at the local delivery office to sort and load deliveries, then use a handheld device for signatures and navigation. A full UK driving licence (6 points max, clean preferred) is required, with 6 months licence

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence (maximum 6 points; clean licence preferred)
• 6 months driving/licence held required
• Previous delivery or driving experience is beneficial but not essential
• Excellent time management and customer service skills
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions

Responsibilities

• Start your shift at the local delivery office to sort and load your deliveries
• Use a handheld device for signature capture and route navigation
• Deliver letters and parcels by foot and/or vehicle – walking up to 8 miles per day
• Lift and carry mail bags (up to 16kg) and parcels (up to 20kg)
• Use delivery trolleys when required
