Job description

A global Financial Services business is seeking an immediately available HR Business Partner to join on a 3-month notice period to cover the recruitment of a permanent hire.

This opportunity allows you to join a small, agile, and high-performing HR team. As the HR Business Partner (VP level), you'll report to the Head of HR Business Partnering and collaborate closely with Centres of Excellence. This is a hands-on, generalist HR role focusing on relationship-building, transformation support, and business partnering across strategic and operational HR activities.

You will manage relationships with key client groups and provide critical support to IT & Technology, which comprises over 50% of the workforce.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Act as a trusted partner to business leaders and managers, providing strategic and operational HR support across your client groups.
  2. Own all generalist HR activities, including employee relations, performance management, organizational change, talent development, and engagement.
  3. Support transformation initiatives within the growing Tech/IT function, partnering on strategic projects such as skills development, technical training, and career pathing.
  4. Collaborate with OD colleagues on ongoing culture initiatives.
  5. Contribute to the design and delivery of talent and development strategies.
  6. Support the wider HR team with hands-on delivery as needed—this is a roll-up-your-sleeves environment where collaboration is key.
What We're Looking For
  • Proven HR Business Partnering experience, ideally within financial services, technology, or a regulated environment.
  • Strong employee relations expertise and confidence working across all generalist HR matters.
  • Comfortable working in a smaller, agile HR team with ownership across strategic and operational areas.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
  • A pragmatic, solutions-focused team player excited to work in a collaborative, hands-on culture.
Extra Notes
  • 3-month role
  • 3 days per week in the office
  • ASAP start date
