Job summary

Dovetail & Slate Ltd is seeking an Electrical Installation Assessor to join a further education provider in the East Midlands on a temporary basis. You will assess apprentices and learners against NVQ Level 3 and electrotechnical standards, in both workshop and employer workplaces.

You will track progress, prepare learners for End Point Assessment, and ensure portfolios meet awarding body requirements. Key tasks include workplace and workshop assessments, site visits, portfolio verification, and

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical industry is essential.
• Ability to assess against NVQ Level 3 and electrotechnical standards.
• Willingness to work towards an assessing qualification if needed.
• Strong IT and digital tracking skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out workplace and workshop assessments of learner competence.
• Conduct progress reviews and employer site visits to monitor development.
• Gather, verify and mark portfolio evidence per awarding body requirements.
• Prepare learners for End Point Assessment with diagnostic feedback.
• Maintain accurate records and tracking for attendance and achievement.
• Work with teaching staff and employer supervisors to address gaps.
