Job summary

The role covers secure transport, temperature-controlled handling, and precise documentation across short and occasional longer trips, with a Monday–Friday shift pattern and occasional overnight stays.

You will plan routes, load/unload vehicles, verify consignments, maintain vehicles, and communicate effectively with dispatch and customers while upholding safety, accuracy, and quality standards

Qualifications

• Experience in warehouse/transport/delivery roles in time-critical, temperature-controlled environments.
• Ability to plan routes and adhere to delivery schedules.
• Strong communication with dispatch, customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Transport shipments securely and efficiently following instructions and regulations.
• Verify consignments, load/unload vehicles and ensure accurate documentation.
• Communicate with dispatch, customers and colleagues; report issues promptly.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness, conduct safety inspections and follow maintenance schedules.
• Handle temperature-controlled materials including unloading and inventory management.
• Prepare shipments per instructions and ensure packaging and documentation compliance.
• Inspect handling equipment and maintain a clean warehouse; refurbish reusable packaging.
• Monitor temperature-control materials to ensure shipment integrity.
